PHYSIOTHERAPIST (NOC 31202)
Nova Physiotherapy in Port Coquitlam is seeking a highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and is committed to working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals as soon as possible.
Location of Work: 3200 Westwood St Suite 112, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6C7
Term of Employment: This is a permanent and full-time position, 30 hours of work per week. Morning/Evening Shifts. Days vary.
Number of positions : 1
Wage: $45 /hour
Physiotherapist Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients’ physical conditions, limitations, and goals.
- Utilize diagnostic skills to identify and analyze movement dysfunction, pain, and other impairments.
- Formulate accurate clinical diagnoses based on assessment findings and patient history.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other physiotherapeutic modalities to improve patients’ mobility and function.
- Implement progressive rehabilitation programs to help patients regain optimal physical function.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing patient assessments and progress.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Provide guidance on home exercises and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Communicate with insurance providers to verify coverage, obtain authorization for treatment, and submit necessary documentation.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
- Adhere to privacy regulations and clinic documentation policies.
- Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy through continuing education, workshops, and professional development.
Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation

Skills Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and a period of supervised practical training are required.
- Adhere to the standards and regulations set by the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC) and other relevant professional bodies.
- Communicates effectively in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience : Physiotherapist: 1 year to less than 2 years
